Frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about ArcDAO launches, curation, treasury, and custody.

Short answers to the questions we get most. For the mechanics behind them, follow the links in the sidebar.

What is ArcDAO?

ArcDAO is a token launchpad on Arc, Circle's USDC-native Layer 1. Anyone can launch a token permissionlessly, $ADAO holders curate which launches get featured and verified, and a share of trading fees accrues to a DAO treasury that grants funding back to curated projects.

Do I need $ADAO to launch a token?

No. Deployment is permissionless and open to anyone. Holding $ADAO only matters for curation — voting on which launches are featured, verified, and eligible for treasury grants.

How does curation actually work?

Every submitted launch enters a 48-hour vote. Holders stake voting weight for or against featuring it. Once a launch passes the quorum and support thresholds, it is marked Curated and enters the grant queue for the next treasury epoch.

Where does treasury revenue come from?

A fixed share of trading fees generated across all launches routes to the DAO treasury in USDC. Nothing is minted, and no allocation is taken from project teams.

How are grants sized and paid out?

Grants are denominated in USDC and voted on per epoch. Curated projects submit a scope, holders approve the amount, and funds are released against milestones through the treasury contract.

Is ArcDAO custodial?

No. Tokens, liquidity, and treasury funds sit in onchain contracts. ArcDAO never takes custody of user assets, and the interface is a thin client over those contracts.
